Yuva is made by Starbuilt. It keeps a log of a baby’s feeds, sleep, diapers, health and growth, shared between the people who look after the baby. This page explains what that means for your information. The short version: we store the log so your phones can share it, we never use it for anything else, and you can delete it.

What Yuva stores

• The log: the entries you make (times, amounts, sides, diaper details, temperatures, medicine names and doses you write down, measurements, notes), and each baby’s name or nickname, birthday and, if you choose to add it, whether the baby is a girl or a boy.
• People in the family: the name each person chose to show the others, their app language, their reminder choices, and when their phone last synced.
• For notifications: a push token for each phone that allows notifications, so we can deliver handoffs and reminders.
• A random app ID created on first launch, used to recognise a phone’s Pro subscription. It is not linked to your name, e-mail, Apple ID or advertising ID.

Where it is kept, and why

Everything is saved on your phone first. To share the log between phones and to let you restore it on a new phone, it is also stored on our server at api.starbuilt.net. It is used only to show the log to the people in your family and to send the notifications you asked for. It is not used for advertising, profiling or training anything, and no one at Starbuilt looks at it unless you ask us to help with a problem.

Notifications

Handoffs, feed and medicine reminders and (if you turn it on) “when the others log” are sent from our server through Apple’s push service via Expo, our push provider. A notification contains a short line such as the baby’s name and the time since the last feed.

Who can see the log

Only phones that joined your family with a code you shared. Anyone in the family can remove a phone, and a removed phone stops receiving changes. Invite codes expire after 48 hours; keep your restore code private, as it lets a new phone join.

What we don’t do

• No accounts, no sign-up.
• No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics tools.
• We never sell, rent or share your information with anyone.

Keeping and deleting

Settings › Delete all data deletes everything on the phone. If it is the last phone in the family, the family’s log is deleted from our server as well; otherwise that phone leaves and the others keep the shared log. A family whose phones have not synced for 24 months is deleted automatically. You can also write to us to delete a family’s data.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted. Write to the address below from the app’s Settings, and include the restore code (Settings › Restore code) so we can find the right log.

Children

Yuva is used by parents and carers. The information about a baby is entered by them, for them. The app is not meant to be used by children.
